UITH and APU Seal Historic Partnership: Paving the Way for Future Healthcare Leaders
In a landmark moment for healthcare education, the management of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) and Ahman Pategi University (APU) came together on Thursday, April 25, 2024, to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will revolutionize the training of future healthcare professionals.
Led by Prof. S.A. Biliaminu, the Ag. Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) at UITH, and the Vice Chancellor of APU, Prof. Kazeem Alagbe Gbolagade, the two institutions have agreed to collaborate on practical training for APU students in Nursing Science, Doctor of Physiotherapy, Medical Laboratory Science, and Public Health Science as well as other medical related programmes.
Under the terms of the MoU, APU students will have access to UITH’s state-of-the-art facilities and expert guidance, providing them with hands-on experience in a real-world setting. This partnership aims to bridge the gap between academia and practice, producing well-rounded and competent healthcare professionals.
The successful conclusion of the MoU marks a significant milestone in the pursuit of excellence in healthcare education. Both institutions are committed to fostering a spirit of collaboration and innovation, shaping the future of healthcare in Nigeria and beyond.
