LASU EXTENDS PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN COMPLIANCE WITH FG DIRECTIVE ON HOLIDAY EXTENSION TO MARK 2024 EID-EL-FITR CELEBRATION

EID EL FITR CELEBRATION: LASU MANAGEMENT COMPLIES WITH FG DIRECTIVE ON HOLIDAY EXTENSION…extends public holiday to Thursday, 11th April 2024.

The Lagos State University Management has DIRECTED all members of staff (academic and non – academic) to observe Thursday, 11th April 2024, as an additional public holiday for the celebration of this year’s Eid – el – Fitr

The directive is in compliance with the Federal Government’s pronouncement through the Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, that Thursday, 11th April 2024, be observed as an additional public holiday to the days earlier declared to mark this year’s Eid – el – Fitr celebration. The statement was signed and released on Tuesday, 9th April 2024 by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Aishetu Ndayako.

Recall that the Federal Government had earlier declared Tuesday, 9th and Wednesday, 10th April 2024 as holiday for the festivities.

The University Management congratulates the faithful muslims on the successful completion of the fasting in the holy month of Ramadan and further urges them to utilise the period of Eid – el – fitri celebration to continue to pray for and support the great LASU Project.

All members of staff are expected to resume work by 8:00a.m, on Friday, 12th April 2024
