Courtesy Visit: Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps set to Partner OYSCATECH on Security

The New Area Commander for the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corp (NSCDC), Mr. Olusegun Okeji and his team has paid a courtesy visit to the Management of Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora on possible areas of partnership.
The Area Commander revealed that the visit was geared towards partnering with the institution on security awareness and providing measures against threat, disaster or any form of attack in or outside the institution as well as identifying security threat in the host community.
According to Mr. Okeji, the NSCDC had embarked on SAVE the Schools programme which had been launched other States in order to combat the insecurity confronting schools.
In his words, it is necessary to prepare for war in times of peace.
He added that the agency is planning to embark on sensitization or workshop programme in order to provide practical and functional security tips to institutions in addition to providing security consciousness in all aspects for stakeholders including students, staff and security Guards of OYSCATECH.
The Rector Professor Kehinde Akinlabi in his response commended the Area Commander for bringing such initiative to the Institution and Ibarapa towns.
The Rector called for the support of the new Area commander in securing lives and Government properties.
He pledged the institutions support with the NSCDC towards securing the lives and properties of citizenry within the Ibarapa Area.
The Deputy Rector thanked Mr. Okeji and his team while pleading for cooperation in order to curb crime and crises within the area.
