LASUTH RECEIVES PALLIATIVE FROM LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT


The Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) staff received palliatives from the Lagos State Government through the Lagos State Coconut Development Authority (LASCODA), a parastatal of the State’s Ministry of Agriculture, on Tuesday, 12th of March, 2024, as part of the effort to cushion the effect of the recent inflation crisis affecting many Nigerians.
The gesture emanated from one of the initiatives of Mr. Governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu, called the Food Bank Initiative, this is to indicate a gesture of support and recognition of staff’s dedication and hard work, particularly in the healthcare sector.
The palliative given was a food item (loaves of bread), as a measure to help alleviate some of the burdens faced by workers and their families, as they continue to serve their communities amid the ongoing economic crisis.
Appreciating the effort of the government, on behalf of the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Adetokunbo O. Fabamwo, the Deputy Director Hospital Administration & Human Resources, Mrs. Ronke Famakinwa, received the food items for the hospital staff.
Among the recipients were junior staff from Engineering Unit, Domestic Unit, Nursing Department, Accounts Departments, Laundry Unit, Haematology Department, Tailoring Unit, Catering Unit, Public Affairs Unit, Anaesthesia Department, Dental Department, Administration and Human Resource Department, Radiology Department, Transport Unit, Security Unit.
