
FUTA Alumnus Donates Wheel Chair to Student
Priscilla Sidiq,a physically challenged fresh student in the Department of Animal Production and Health, Federal University of Technology Akure, FUTA has been presented with a wheel chair to ease her movement to lectures and others places within the University environment.
The donor and alumnus of FUTA, Mr. Bunmi Oladunjoye who was represented by the Vice President of FUTA Alumni Association, Mrs. Bose Ola Salawu stated that Priscilla was singled out as an indigent and physically challenged student through the efforts of the Students Affairs Office which also reached out to the FUTA Alumni Association for assistance for the student. She stated further that the Alumni Association would extend other levels of assistance to the student throughout her course of study in FUTA.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Adenike Temidayo Oladiji who was represented by the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor David Olanrewaju Oke at the brief presentation event , thanked the donor and the Alumni Association for their positive interest and kind gesture extended to Priscilla. She encouraged her not to be perturbed with her condition but rather focus on her studies to achieve outstanding success.
While thanking the Vice Chancellor and the donor,Mrs Deborah Sidiq, the mother of the student promised that her daughter, Priscilla Sidiq would make FUTA proud even with her disability condition.
