
FRENCH, HISTORY AND INTERNATIONAL STUDIES, MARKETING AND MSC MARKETING NUC TEAMS ARRIVE TO COMMENCE ACCREDITATION EXERCISE
As the ongoing accreditation exercise for courses in the university gathers steam, three sets of accreditation teams from the National Universities Commission, on Tuesday, 14th November 2023 arrived on the main campus of the university in Ojo to commence their assignment. The teams would be assessing four programmes, including French, History and International Studies, Marketing, and MSc Marketing.
Upon arrival, the accreditors paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, who warmly received and assured them of the university’s willingness to provide all the needed support to make their assignment easy. She assured that the university has put the necessary facilities in place for the success of the exercise.
Leader of the History and International Studies team, Prof. Zakariya Goshit, who spoke on behalf of the visiting teams, said he was wowed by all he had seen in the university since his arrival, noting that the institution could be mistaken for Harvard or Yale University. He also assured the university that the accreditation exercise would help the university to improve on its status of greatness.
Deans of the Postgraduate School, Prof. Ibrahim Olateju; Faculty of Arts, Prof. T. M. Salisu; and Management Sciences, Prof. Akewushola represented by Prof. Banji Fajonyomi were also at the meeting alongside the professors from the respective departments.
