Determined to ease the challenges faced by members of staff of Lagos State University over the removal of fuel subsidy and the concomitant hike in the prices of goods and services, Management of Lagos State University hereby announces the decision to reduce the number of days members of staff of the University come to work every week.
By this development, the University Management hereby directs that:
i. Members of staff in Departments/Units/Centres should, on rotational basis, take two (2) days off work every week;
ii. Heads of Departments/Units/Centres should oversee the drafting of a roster to accommodate all members of staff under their supervision;
iii. Heads of Departments/Units/Centres should ensure that offices under their supervision are not left vacant every work-day of the week; and
iv. In the same vein, Deans and Heads of Departments are to ensure that smooth conduct of examinations, other academic activities and delivery of services are not hindered.
This effort is aimed at helping to cut down the daily expenses incurred on transportation to work.
The palliative commences effective Monday, 7th August 2023, until further notice.
