
ADSU MATRICULATE 4035 UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS FOR THE 2024/2025 ACADEMIC SESSION
Adamawa State University, Mubi held its Matriculation Ceremony on Tuesday 11th February, 2025. The ceremony which was the 20th in the series took place at the University Multi-Purpose Hall to formally admit the newly admitted students for the 2024/2025 Academic Session.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor Prof Augustine Clement admonished the newly students to dedicate themselves to study hard and shun all social vices that can truncate the process. He employed them to be conversant with extant laws and regulations of the University, particularly as relates to Dress code, Examination Malpractice, Cultism so as not to lose the golden opportunity of acquiring university education.
He further charges all the students to shun bad company and be good ambassadors of their respective families, state and the nation at large, he also urges them to obey all rules and regulations as contravention of any of our rules is met with stiff penalties, and in some cases expulsions from the University. Hence you need to be focused and committed to your studies, and be security conscious especially against the present realities of our times and assured the matriculating students that Management is working round the clock to ensure safety of the campus. He enjoined everyone to be involved because according to him security is everybody business.
Prof Clement also used the occasion to express the gratitude of the University Management, Senate, Staff and Students to His Excellency the Visitor and Fresh Air Governor of Adamawa State Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for the tremendous support and encouragement the University is enjoying under his watch.
The high point of the ceremony was the administration of Oath on the 3,035 matriculating students by the Oath Commissioner Dr. Daniel Obiora.
The Dean of students Dr. Ibrahim Birma Bwatanglang in a vote of thanks appreciated all the dignitaries that graced the occasion with their presence and expressed the University’s gratitude and to all the Security agencies for standing with institution.
Among the Guest attended the event are the JAMB Coordinator Adamawa State that represented the Registrar JAMB, the Vice Chancellor and University Librarian Federal University of Agriculture Mubi, Provost College of Health Technology Michika, the representative of the Rector Federal Polytechnic, Mubi and service Heads of Various security agencies of Government in Mubi.
